Cliffhanger???

I was going to sit down and write something meaningful to recount the last couple weeks, but alas, I can't really come up with anything insightful. Although I did have a really unusually vivid dream a day or two ago which starred my friends from my current job and my high school friends attending what seemed to be a recreation of Nancy's wedding in which I, even though I had not been drinking, ended up getting very sullen and irritated, and of course ended up saying things I shouldn't have said - kind of like in real life, huh? It also, for no apparent reason, had two guys in it that looked exactly like Z; as if the one wasn't already too many - JUST KIDDING! At any rate, as it's already an hour and 15 minutes past bedtime, and I really don't have anything important to say, I'm going to have to resort to Z's habit of using bullet points for everything...

  • Went grocery shopping with a Vegan
  • Did my first really important research project for work and got it submitted a day ahead of schedule
  • Have now added a new horribly vivid and incredibly embarrassing episode to the very long list of embarrassing events in my life that my brain just revels in going over and over and over again by almost throwing up and fainting at my friend's house on Saturday
  • Spent the first half of the day cleaning, and the second half getting as addicted to Alias as I am to 24

And speaking of 24, I am so incredibly PISSED that 24 ended with a freakin' cliffhanger?!!?!?! And we have to wait until JANUARY to see what happens to Jack???? It's just NOT FAIR!!!

Happy Mother's Day

Ok, sure - to the average outsider, it may seem silly, even strange, but I think it's incredibly sweet - I got my first Mother's Day flowers this year, since my family considers me a mom...

All because of this little guy - my baby Nemo, aka Cutie Pie, Sweet Pea, Murr-y, Bunny Butt, Little Dork, Purr Purr, Polar Bear, and Blue Eyes.

Is It Summer Yet?

So my life has been revolving around work again. 12 hour days seem to be the norm now and trying to train what I know (to two groups of people, one being in Kansas City) and simultaneously learn something completely new has been very challenging.

As an official employee, I got to participate in my very first HR investigation, regarding the 'incident' in Kansas City between the two aforementioned co-workers in my previous posts. Luckily I was only a witness, but it was a bit scary nevertheless. I can't help thinking that if my former company had had an HR department, that one of my so-called bosses would probably have been fired within 2 weeks.

So today is the second day that they're repaving the street I live on, so it's a 5 minute walk to get to my car again. It's funny how such inconsequential things can be so irritating.
