Too depressed to come up with a title for the post...
I shouldn't say depressed; that word usually makes all my friends panic. I am...disappointed. What I had looked forward to as a great weekend turned out to be one of the worst weekends I've had in a long time.
This is because a) I gained back some of the weight that I lost; granted it was less than half a pound, but still - very upsetting; and b) I had planned on getting myself a cat this weekend from one of the local rescue organizations, and when I got to the adoption site (half an hour early, mind you) turns out there were already two other people who wanted the same kitten - I just didn't have the energy to fight with complete strangers over a cat, and so ended up coming home empty-handed. Of course, now my house feels more empty than ever, and it's left a very bad taste in my mouth regarding animal adoptions. Maybe I'm not supposed to have an animal - maybe I'm destined to spend my entire life alone. I feel like I've regressed back two years before I started therapy and can't see my way out of the hole I've dug for myself. And it's cold and snowy outside. Yes, it's beautiful, but does that really mean anything when you don't have anyone to share it with?
