Football kicks ass
It's FRIDAY!
That always makes me happy. I read an article on MSN yesterday about how football is the American pastime now. Finally someone has seen the light. Am I the only person in the US that can't stand baseball? Apparently not, because from their little informal poll, over 80% agreed that football is the sh*t. Go 'Skins!!!!!!

Let me be clear, I love football and enjoy a football game on TV far more than baseball. However, I can count on 2 fingers the number of 'Skins games I have attended, and I almost (ALMOST) feel as though a football game is better on TV than in person. On the other hand, I have been to numerous baseball games, and I always have a blast. Minor League, the Majors, whatever. If you are live at the game, baseball takes the cake hands down. At least in MD/DC/VA, football is the game of the upper crust. It is a social event; "the place to be." Baseball remains the working man's game; an evening out with the family that isn't a huge deal. Just look at the teams: Redskins - a bunch of over-paid prima-donnas that haven't had a winning season in years; Nationals - a bunch of no-name work-horses that are at the top of the game. This year at least, the choice is clear.
